The Alumni Association, in conjunction with the UMUC Library, has arranged for alumni to access the following research databases, available for an annual subscription of $75. This is an exclusive benefit for members of the Alumni Association.
ABI/Inform: Alumni Edition
Accounting, business, finance, international business, marketing, and management journals as well as company and industry topics from 1923 to the present.
Academic Search: Alumni Edition
Arts, humanities, science, social sciences, business, and technology journals, e-books, and other electronic resources from 1887 to the present.
Business Source: Alumni Edition
Business, management, economics, finance, accounting, international business, and company and industry information journal articles, case studies and industry reports from 1886 to the present. Also includes investment and research reports from other sources, EIU countryreports and profiles, financial data, e-books, monographs, major reference works, conference proceedings, and case studies.
Emerald Fulltext and Management Reviews
Journal articles covering international business, marketing, human resource, management, organizational development, and library management issues in journals via Emerald Management 120.

How do I subscribe?

How will I access the library's research databases for alumni?
You will need to log into the Alumni Association Online Community, and then select the link for Library Research Databases for Alumni. The alumni research databases can only be accessed from within the online community.
Are more research databases available?
Access to UMUC's library research databases is controlled by the database vendors and publishers through their license agreements. UMUC is pleased to provide alumni with access to a selection of databases through agreements with the vendors. Due to license restrictions from the vendors and publishers, only current UMUC students, faculty, and staff may access the complete collection of library research databases listed on the UMUC Information & Library Services homepage.
Will I receive a refund if I cancel my subscription?
No refunds will be given.
