This undergraduate program is dedicated to foster advanced interdisciplinary study with fundamental knowledge of mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science, mastery of basic biochemistry, microbiology, principles of chemical engineering, fermentation engineering, bio-separation engineering, bioengineering equipment, and the basic abilities for microbial culture, processes, design and optimization of biological products, bioengineering equipment selection, biological product production, testing and analysis, technological management and marketing. Overall, the graduates should have fairly strong innovative capability, creativity and entrepreneurial competence. Graduates should be competent to work in areas related to biological product production and promotion, processes, design and optimization, quality check and control, research and development and technological management. Qualified graduates will be awarded the degree of Bachelor of Engineering.
Major curriculum includes: Mathematics, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Principles of chemical Engineering, Fermentation Engineering, Bio-separation Engineering, Bioengineering Equipment, Biopharmaceutical Engineering, Microbial Technology. An internship for production practice, professional practice, and a design project is also included.
